I feel happy and I cry. I feel tired and I cry. I feel frustrated and I cry. We could blame the hormones but I think it also has something to do with being very very tired. Last post I talked about how easy it was to sleep between feedings, Claire had something to say about that. Now after night time feedings Claire does not want to go down, she likes to snack more than eat a full meal so I am breastfeeding very often and on demand - during the day thats totally fine I am supposed to feed her every 2 hours and we do that but at night she cries before my alarm goes off and the sleep never comes. I am really excited for our doctors appointments this week - I have mine with my midwife tomorrow and we see her pediatrician on Wednesday. I have lists of questions and am looking forward to talking them out.
Claire still does not cry every often, she only does it when something is needed. At night is the only time I have a problem figuring out what that need is. Looking forward to trying the swing tonight and to see if that helps relax her back to sleep. We have been working on having her sleep in her crib and for half the night it works really well but around 4am something changes and I have not figured out exactly what she needs yet but I will keep working at it, she is such a lovely baby girl that I feel bad when I get frustrated and I am working on being a better happier mommy at 4am.
Friday we went to our first concerts in the park with our little lady, it was fun to see everyone and let her spend some time outside, I think she enjoyed it. Once we got home Dana & Todd came over for wine and some Claire time, I am glad that we have been able to see everyone so much and Lindsey will be in very very soon to hang out with us too.
On Saturday we made our first trek to SCV to see my family, bbq, and say goodbye to Melissa who flew out this morning to Hawaii! It was really nice to be home and see how much everyone just loves Claire - it is heartwarming to see how much she loves them back.
Yesterday was Baby Sweden's baby shower, Callie had a fun animal print party and Claire was such a good little baby, we carpooled with Eva & Chip and the babies did so so well and the mommies had mimosas so everyone was very happy. I think both Claire and I were overtired, we both passed out for awhile and then had a rough night. Today I plan on relaxing and playing with her because we have a wedding this upcoming weekend AND auntie Li is coming into town! So we will be busy busy and getting the rest we need now will be great.
- She loves movement and sound. she needs lots of music and fans on to sleep and if she is having a hard time jumping in the car and hitting a few bumps seems to really put her at ease.
- She has gray eyes and light hair. I think she will have hazel eyes and maybe hair a little bit darker than Ryans.
- She knows her mommy and I love it. She jumps at my voice, she soaks up my smell and I love the bond that breasfeeding has given us, I plan on starting to pump soonish so that Ryan can feed her and get some nice time with her.
- During her alert awake time she is so much fun and her wake up faces light up my life, I need to start taking more videos of her because they are just wonderful.

I cannot decide what turn this blog is going to take, I know I will be throwing lots of photos on here to not overload facebook and I will update how things are going with my new family of three. I would like to start writing Claire letters again but at this point I'm not ready to start those. Thank you for following along, hope you all had a nice weekend and have a great week!
