Claire is amazing and wonderful and funny and intelligent but she also is a terrible sleeper. She does not want to go to bed, she does not want to stay in bed and she certainly does not want to be left alone in her room with her comfy blanket and cuddly stuffed animal. What she wants is for me to sleep next to her crib, while holding her hand and then nurse her on demand. I can handle these things, we have a little system where we take turns and one of us lays by the crib until she is calm and then we return to our bed. Its been fine I guess, do we love it? No. But I cannot let her cry herself to sleep, it hurts. Like actual pain, my chest starts to burn and then I want to cry. CIO is not for me, if it works for you and now you all sleep like little angels then do you girl, do you. But I cannot take that route.
Instead I have placed a Young Living order, lets try these oils out! I hear great things so lets add this to the list of things we are going to try [maybe a little lavender hot box action with the humidifier]. I also just heard about coconut cream at bed time, magnesium lotion rubs before bed and rubbing my nipples with nyquil [jk on the last one] but she still is a nursing machine so hey we cant rule anything out.

sleep on.
